Real Structure: The Foundation of Projeto Curupira
The current production area of Projeto Curupira will be renovated to optimize the production process and ensure food safety. It will be necessary to redo the floor, walls, roof, and electrical structure to guarantee production safety and efficiency. To optimize the cassava production process, new machinery and equipment will be implemented, such as a shredder, starch extractor, and cassava peeler. These pieces of equipment will allow a significant increase in productivity and process efficiency. In addition to the implementation of new machinery and equipment, the project will have a strong commitment to sustainability. In the external area of the starch factory, three lakes will be built, which will be used for the degradation process of toxic components, such as cyanide, present in the water from the cassava peeling and washing process.
Our Sustainable Products
The Projeto Curupira cassava starch factory will transform raw material into a variety of high-quality products. These items not only meet market demand but also generate value and sustainability for the communities in the Amazon region.
  • Cassava Starch: An essential ingredient for various industries.
  • Tapioca Gum: A base for regional and national cuisine.
  • Tucupi: A vibrant yellow sauce, traditional in Amazonian cuisine.
  • Cassava Flour: A staple and versatile food for the Brazilian table.
The tapioca gum packaging highlights the importance of packaging that reflects the product's regional identity and is sustainable at the same time. The Projeto Curupira tapioca gum packaging will feature an organic seal and bear the project's name, reinforcing its origin and quality. We will also have a QR code where consumers, by pointing their phone camera, can learn about the entire project and its food safety.
Detailed Cassava Starch Factory Structure
The cassava processing unit of Projeto Curupira, with a productive area of 90m² and a drying room of 113m², has been meticulously planned to ensure efficiency and food safety. The process begins in a dedicated entry area, segregated for cassava selection, washing, and peeling, minimizing contamination risks.
The main production area is equipped with modern machinery, including a cassava grinder, starch extractor, and a workbench with a sieve. Decantation tanks are used for starch separation, culminating in an optimized space for packaging, weighing, and labeling the final product, with a direct exit for the packaged product.
Hygiene is a priority, with a dedicated asepsis area for sanitizing hands, equipment, and utensils, where employees change into sterilized uniforms and use PPE. An exclusive storage room holds the packaging. For the final phase, the drying room equipped with tables ensures proper drying of the processed cassava.
Floor Plan
The Global Cassava Starch Market
The global cassava starch market, an essential component in various industries, demonstrates robust growth. Projections indicate a significant increase in value, reflecting the growing demand for natural and versatile products.
In 2022, the market was valued at USD 4.7 billion, with projections pointing to continuous growth, reaching up to USD 10.8 billion by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the range of 5-6%. Tapioca gum, being a fraction of this market, is positioned to capitalize on this expansion.
The Cassava Starch Market in Brazil and Latin America
National Overview and Potential
Despite Brazil's prominence in cassava production, specific and recent data for the "tapioca gum" market is scarce. However, the country is a significant exporter of cassava starch, with national production contributing substantially to the global starch sector.

A conservative estimate suggests that the domestic market for starch and its derivatives in Brazil (including internal consumption and exports) could be worth between US$ 235 million and US$ 700 million annually, representing a significant fraction of the global market.
Demand Trends and Growth Factors
  • Global Growth: Tapioca starch is on a growth trajectory (CAGR of 5-7% until 2030-2033), driven by gluten-free foods, its use as a thickener, and non-food applications (paper, textile, adhesives, pharmaceuticals).
  • Expansion in Brazil: The consumption of tapioca (hydrated gum) has expanded beyond the North/Northeast regions, benefiting from the perception of it being a healthier food and the demand for gluten-free products.
  • Agricultural and Industrial Base: Approximately 20% of the cassava root in Brazil is destined for starch production, sustaining the supply for food and industry. Domestic demand is so strong that Brazil still imports cassava starch.
Proving the Demand for Tapioca Gum in Brazil
Although "hydrated tapioca gum" does not have separate public reports as an isolated category, studies and Course Completion Papers (TCCs) indicate a constant growth in its retail consumption, mainly driven by the "gluten-free" movement. The demand for tapioca gum, which is a derivative of cassava starch, tends to follow and even surpass the growth of food starch, especially due to consumption trends, convenience, and expanded retail distribution.
To objectively prove the demand of the Brazilian market, especially for investors or financial institutions, it is possible to seek evidence from various sources:
1
Retail & Distribution Channels
Consult market panels such as NielsenIQ and Euromonitor for sales and growth data of tapioca gum, cassava starch, and tapioca flour by channel and region. These paid reports offer detailed breakdowns by Federative Unit (UF) and product format.
2
Industry & Agricultural Inputs
  • Use Comex Stat (MDIC) to analyze historical import/export series of NCM 1108.14.00 (cassava starch), identifying supply gaps and seasonality.
  • Access data from IBGE, Conab, and Embrapa on cassava production by state and its destination (flour/starch) to validate supply capacity and identify potential bottlenecks.
3
Non-Food Applications
Research technical and market documents that detail the use of cassava starch in sectors such as paper, textiles, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, and pet food, helping to quantify "off-plate" demand.
4
Health & Conscious Consumption
Analyze academic studies that correlate the growing search for gluten-free products with the increase in tapioca/gum consumption. This information is valuable for supporting marketing strategies.
Tokenomics: The Economy of $GOMA
The sustainability and value of the $GOMA token are intrinsically linked to the economic solidity of the Curipira Project. Understanding market prices, competitive advantage, production capacity, and cost structure is fundamental to evaluating the growth and return potential of the ecosystem.
1
Market Price
The recent national average for cassava starch (base product) is approximately R$ 3,114.69 per ton (FOB cassava mill deferred payment price), establishing a robust benchmark for the pricing of the project's tapioca gum. (R$ denotes Brazilian Reais)
2
Competitive Advantage
The Curipira Project faces virtually no direct competition in the Amazon. While the market offers dehydrated starch, the project produces the "original GOMA", maintaining all its superior properties and quality, ensuring a unique and high-demand product.
3
Production Capacity
With an initial capacity of 1 ton per day, the factory has the potential to supply significant demand, totaling approximately 365 tons of original tapioca gum per year, boosting market supply.
4
Production Costs
The production cost per ton is approximately R$ 2,180.28, which represents about 70% of the average market price. This competitive margin ensures the project's profitability and financial viability.
Operational and Strategic Pillars of the $GOMA Project
The sustainability and success of the Curipira Project depend on a solid operational and strategic foundation. These are the cornerstones that ensure the efficiency of the value chain, from field to consumer's table, and the resilience of the $GOMA ecosystem.
Logistics and Distribution
We ensure product quality through specially equipped vehicles and cold storage, guaranteeing the integrity of tapioca gum until the point of sale.
Strategic Partnerships
We have verbal interest from major players such as Nova Era, DB, and Yoroak, ready to formalize partnerships once the project demonstrates its social impact and the quality of the original product.
